REPORT: International Flowgrind Contest 2015 (ENG)

3 beautiful sunny days, good music, great food and drink and the best skateboarding – those are the words that can describe skate event International Flowgrind Contest, which was happening in Nova Gorica skatepark between 8th and 10th May 2015. Friday’s training already showed us huge participation, saturday’s qualifications, where 16 kids skated in the junior category while 41 skaters from 7 countries competed in the sponsored category, spoke for itself and sunday’s finals only put the cherry on the top.

Level of skateboarding was the highest ever in Slovenia and Balkan also, three judges had pretty difficult work to pick up winners, but at the end they decided little Rene Torkar, last year’s winner, was the best in the junior category and in the sponsored category with 2000 euros prize Fabio Montagner from Italy, who won last year also, was the one with the best run.

We will have to wait some more for the official video edit, but until that time enjoy the photo gallery.

We want and need to say big thank you to all the competitors, organizers, sponsors and other participants for the wonderful weekend which will undoubtly happen next year too!
